A couple weeks ago my grandmother came to visit for a couple days before heading to Vermont to experience the stunning fall scenery.  Her travel buddy became sick and she was going on alone. So, naturally I jumped at the chance to spend a couple extra days with her.  It would be my first time exploring Vermont, and my Grandmother was the perfect travel companion!  She loves to drive around the back roads, allows me to stop for photos, and we both love antiquing. 

Vermont is a short distance from the Boston area, and the scenery was blazing with Autumn colors throughout the route.  Before heading North I looked into some covered bridges that would be around the areas we’d be traveling through.  Come to find out Vermont is teeming with these bridges, reminiscent of New England’s vivid landscape. 

Besides the covered bridges, we also decided to drive the Southern portion of Route 100, world renown for its spectacular fall foliage.  The quaint towns were filled with potteries, antiques, and adorable country stores.  And the back roads brimming with old barns, Victorians, and farm homes.  The Green Mountains were alluring with orange, red, and yellow leaves dancing throughout the countryside.

From Wilmington, VT, we drove North on route 100, cut over the Northern side of the Green Mountain range, and followed route 7, and 7A (historical route) back down toward Bennington.  And these photos are just a few snaps of the spledid scenery we saw.
