Watch Cape Cod Video:
This summer, I finally got to see what all the hype about Cape Cod was.
For the past three years I’ve lived in Boston I’ve witnessed the locals flock to Cape Cod every Thursday and Friday, to return back Sunday evenings. Just a mere hour and a half drive south Boston lies Cape Cod. An area full of sandy beaches, tasty restaurants, and gorgeous New England cape style homes.
The Cape doesn’t have many hotels, however, there are tons of vacation homes and Airbnbs – which I find more ideal for family vacations anyways – am I right? And I had the pleasure of staying at the Cape So Hard house, which was recently purchased by Andrea and her husband. These new Airbnb owners have already reached “Super Host” status on Airbnb – and it shows through all the details of their beautiful coastal abode.
The Cape So Hard House is the most darling pink ranch with a picket fence surrounded by roses. Located on a cul-de-sac it offers piece and quiet, which everyone wants while on a relaxing beach vacay! While offering tons of space and amenities inside I am most partial to the outdoor shower! Nothing beats one in the summer time! The backyard has strings of lights adding a romantic glow to your evenings, and there is a side patio with two Adirondack chairs, inviting you to have a glass of rosé. The Cape so Hard house has three bedrooms with two baths, a well appointed kitchen, and a stunning sun room – Where I found myself enjoying the morning with a cup of coffee and a book. There are two main living spaces – a living room with a fireplace and an entire downstairs basement to hang out in.
Upon arrival you’ll receive one of Andrea’s thoughtfully put together welcome packages that will help you settle in and kick off your beach holiday. The owners have been busy with remodeling and this house has major coastal vibes! The house is styled with nautical touches, navy blues, and neutral accents. Every room is full of natural light and the sun room is surrounded with windows.
This seaside gem is in the perfect location with easy access to everything. While I only got to spend two days down there, Well, I only had time to spend two days. I plan on going back to explore more. But here’s a list of things to do in Cape Cod to get you started:
Cape Cod Beaches:
Gray’s beach – great for sunsets!
West Dennis Beach
Mayflower Beach
Cold Storage Beach
Windmill Beach – this is very close to the house so we enjoyed walking down first thing in the mornings!
Provincetown:
We decided to take a trip to Provincetown and LOVED it! So bright and colorful and the cutest area to walk around, eat, and shop! We brunched at Cafe Heaven, had frosés at The Canteen, and a lobster roll at The Lobster Pot!
Where to Go for Cocktails in Cape Cod:
If you have time be sure to swing into Chatham Bars Inn and enjoy a cocktail on the lawn while watching time go by. We also grabbed some food to go (we were exhausted) and everything was delish – especially the cheese board!
Cap Cod Coffee Shops:
If you head to Cape Cod, make sure to leave any and all recommendations below so I can hit them up next time I’m in town!
