The Four Seasons is a hotel brand well known for their excellence in customer service, along with incredibly rich traditional decor. Although I have stayed at quite a few Four Seasons Resorts I will say that the Four Seasons in Lisbon was quite the luxurious experience.
Located in a quieter section of Lisbon, the business district, it was the perfect place to stay for our first two nights in this vibrant city. After a long day of travel the thought of being pampered at the Four Seasons Lisbon was a welcome relief. We actually lost a piece of luggage on the way, and when I showed up to check in, the front desk staff immediately took the problem into their own hands, calling the airport multiple times and tracking down my luggage. They take your vacation being stress free very seriously!
When you walk into the lobby the first thing you notice is the incredible hanging live orchid display. Striking bright pink orchids with their root systems still attached hang from a display, bringing an edge of creativity along with a tranquil earthy peaceful feeling. As you move further into the hotel you’ll notice decadents lounge pieces surrounded by oversized art. They have a fresh sushi bar with a sushi chef, along with a classic lounge with soft leather seating and classic cocktail tables. In another sitting area there is yet ANOTHER live orchid display branching out over some plush deep navy couches.
The rooms are just as spectacular with lots of space, balconies overlooking the city and bathrooms made of marble. One evening I had my glasses on the bedside table and they left a soft lens cleaning cloth underneath. The Four Seasons Lisbon seriously thinks of EVERYTHING.
One of the first things I did upon arrival, and after picking my jaw up off the ground, was head to the concierge and asked her to make reservations for dinner for the two nights were were staying there. One night was at a romantic little spot on the water, and the second night was set deep in the alleys of Lisbon in an underground cave like setting that knocked it out of the park. I’ll get more into the food scene in Lisbon on a future post – promise! As for breakfast at the hotel, they serve it in the grand dining room which has a lovely balcony attached. The buffet spread was one of the best breakfast scenes we have seen on a vacation. They had everything….EVERYTHING.
The Four Seasons Lisbon was also kind enough to set us up on a vintage side car tour. This was one of the best excursions Matt and I have ever one in a city. The driver was full of historical details of the city, and it was the BEST way to see most of Lisbon, especially if you are short on time!
Lisbon has become the new European hot spot and if you are looking to have a little luxury I can not recommend the Four Seasons Lisbon enough. It will take your vacation to the next level.
**This trip was in partnership with The Four Seasons Lisbon. I’m so thankful to The Four Seasons Lisbon for welcoming us as their guests. As always, all opinions are my own.
