Tour Harks Hill!
Recently I was able to spend the most delightful girls weekend getaway at the spectacular Harks Hill property in Keene, NH. Harks Hill is available to rent through Airbnb and VRBO. This show-stopping Colonial home built in 1880 had my heart from the moment I pulled up the long driveway. A sprawling white 3 story house sitting on 7.5 acres of land that include a swimming pool, a fire pit. and even a tree house!
The girls and I had the best time at Harks Hill, it was the perfect place to gather and get creative with our brands, create quality content, and just spend time together! We spent most of our 3 days at Harks Hill, while there is a lot to do around Keene, the house had every amenity would could ask for.
We did however make it into Keene for an afternoon jaunt where we went to the local coffee shop {Brewbakers Cafe}, and spent some time in the darling Italian bakery with a pink storefront {Hello Instagram!} Keene Confections Pastry Shop. They had the BEST lemon cookies! OK if we are being honest, we actually went to the bakery a couple of times to have a never ending stock of sweets in the house.
But I digress, let’s get back to Harks Hill. The kitchen was incredibly functional – it has two oven. Any woman that cooks on a regular basis knows exactly how amazing that is! While the kitchen is quite large, it still remains cozy with the brick wall and butcher block counters. Not only is there one refrigerator, but in the mudroom there is an extra one, which also comes in handy for large gatherings of people. Just off the side of the kitchen is a butler’s pantry, I am obsessed with butler’s pantries and one of my life goals is to have one at some point!
With 9 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, Harks Hill can sleep up to 18 guests. The layout of the bedrooms is pretty ideal with 4 master suites on the second floor and more bedrooms on the 3rd floor which I thought would be ideal for kids. It’s like their own secret getaway.
Harks Hill also has two living areas, each with a fireplace. Did I mention there are SIX fireplaces in this beautiful home? The two living areas are great because they both have doors, so if one group wants to watch a movie and the other wants to play video games there is plenty of space for both! Off of the main living area is a gorgeous porch which would be the ideal location for an evening cocktail, or reading a book on a summers day.
But my FAVORITE room, was the dining room. This room has soft natural light flowing through all day long. I think most of our time was spent in this room, with its long rustic farm table and cozy setting it was the perfect space for dining, working, and social conversations.
Harks Hill is such a special place and would be a great rental for so many occasions: girls weekends, weddings, graduation, birthdays, family reunions, and even holidays.
Do you have a favorite Airbnb in New England? If so I want to hear! As always, thanks so much for reading!
