Monument Valley….few American Southwest spots are as iconic as this Navajo Tribal Park. Seen in movies such as The Lone Ranger, National Lampoons Vacation, Stagecoach, and even Forrest Gump ran though this desert landscape.
Besides being a picture perfect backdrop for movies, photographers also flock to this region to capture the red sandstone formation with the dramatic cloud backgrounds.
Located on the Arizona/Utah border, you can drive the 14 mile scenic road, hike, or even horseback through this ever changing terrain. Be prepared though; Monument Valley is in the middle of NO WHERE. Seriously, no. where. Although there is nothing around this famous region, I still recommend you see it, because this is about American as you can get my friends.
XO, Shannon
