With all the changes in Instagram over the last year, you’re probably rethinking your Instagram strategy. Given the fact that Instagram continues to be one of the most highly engaged social platforms, you don’t want to waste time ensuring your strategy is updated. So, I’m spilling the beans on my 2022 Instagram Posting Strategy.
Let’s discuss one of the biggest questions I get: how often should I post?
Yes it is true that the more you post the faster you will grow – but here is the problem with preaching this strategy – you get stressed out and feel burnout fast. And once you burnout you are very apprehensive about starting to post again, let alone spending time on the app.
Part of creating a strategy is making it work for you. So take some time and sit down to figure out how many times a week you can post, and at what time of the day. Make it an easy schedule, one that you can stay consistent with so that you continue to enjoy getting on the app and interacting with your community. Whatever your plan is – it needs to be consistent.
My plan in 2022 is to post 1-2x a day, but there are a ton of factors that go into this. For instance, I don’t have children, if I did I probably wouldn’t be able to happily sustain that schedule – so be sure to make your posting schedule work for you.
Now let’s discuss reels.
If you are looking to get brand visibility and awareness – reels is how you do it. Reels is what will get people to your page but you need to be sure your page is worth following, and your account is optimized for new people seeing it for the first time.
Remember, reels do NOT have to be huge productions, they can be short and sweet as long as they apply to your niches + industry.
I plan on posting 3-5 reels a week in 2022.
So what about the other types of content?
In order to create a binge-able feed you want to create one that is interactive. You want new followers to land on your profile and be able to watch reels, gain value from carousels, read captions on feed posts. You want to build an immersive page.
People have different learning styles and take in information in different ways, so you want to be sure you are taking advantage of all the formats that Instagram is offering.
