Spring + Summer call for Rosé Soiree’s, and delicious food! Since you went crazy for my Grazing Table I decided to freshen it up by doing a Bruschetta Board! This Italian style appetizer is great on any warm evening, and has endless ways of preparing it! And what better to pair Bruschetta than with a mouth watering rosé. Drier rosés hold up better to the Italian fare and are far more complex.
My absolute favorite Rosé of all time is La Spinetta II Rose Di Casanova. This Tuscan rosé is a bombshell, and can be hard to come by, so when you find it buy all of it! It flies off the shelves! Just look for the salmon colored wine with a gorgeous sketch of a rhinoceros on it!
The flavor profiles of this wine has fresh floral aromas with hints of pink grapefruit. Mid-palette offers intense stone fruit flavors of white peach, then red cherry, and even the citrus of tangerine. Like most Tuscan wines this one has a long silky finish that is dramatically refreshing. The BEST part? It’s sustainable farming! Simply put: this is THE rosé to drink.
If you can’t get your hands on La Spinetta, here are a few other recommendations a little easier to find: Whispering Angel, Miraval, OR if you come across a Sancerre Rosé which is also fabulous!
In the video above you see the basic process of how I set my tables up for my bruschetta board. I start by laying out the dishes, then the flowers, then the food. Most of the food from the Bruschetta board you can make the day before and the flavors have time to develop! I added a flank steak so there was a more substantial protein on the table and the recipe below is EASY! Listed below are some Bruschetta ideas to get you started, along with some simple recipes I used, but the options for this are limitless!
PRO TIP: Go to a high end market with an olive bar and grab some olives, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and other stuff that would go great on your bruschetta board!
