It’s no secret that Nantucket is one of New England’s best waterfront destinations. With its historical charm, cobblestone streets, rustic window boxes, and friendly locals, a Nantucket getaway is an ideal getaway any time of the year. Even in December.
Right before the holidays, I managed a quick getaway to this quaint Island because I wanted to see all the holiday decor. Nantucket has long been known for its Nantucket Stroll, which is a weekend event to kick off the Christmas Season. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, on the island gets on board with going all out for the Christmas spirit. Decorated Christmas trees line the village streets and every storefront displays Christmas magic.
However, the best experience was staying in one of the Harborview Nantucket waterfront cottages.
Tucked away in a quiet alcove these seaside cottages are your ultimate Nantucket getaway destination. All have been fully remodeled to enhance your New England vacation. And a private beach offers plenty of space to enjoy paddle boarding or kayaking. Or even just catching up on your latest book in a beach chair.
Coastal charm, and cool seaside colors make each cottage cozy and inviting. Along with a fully stocked kitchen you can sleep in and enjoy a quiet breakfast on your patio or even a romantic dinner for two. Harborview Nantucket graciously leaves a bottle of wine, and some local craft beers to compliment your stay. As for myself I enjoyed the wine in front of the wood burning fireplace.
Worried about getting around on the island? Don’t be! Nantucket Harborview has a car service and they will pick you up and drop you off at the ferry. Once settled into your cottage you can walk in to the village, and even to Brant Lighthouse!
