When I walked down the beach in Oak Bluffs to grab this shot it was scorching hot and mid-morning, not an ideal time for a long exposure shot.

To top it off the ferry decided to make a stop right as I was shooting. I set up my camera settings and took a few shots, then I hung out for an hour before the ferry moved out of the way.

Ironically it was that iconic ferry that makes this image what it is.  All the other images are nice, but they are missing that Vineyard character the ferry adds to this nice black + white print!
