TOP 5 ROMANTIC RESTAURANTS IN BOSTON:
Menton in the Seaport District
Menton is one of Boston’s crown jewels. Owned by Chef Barbara Lynch, this restaurant has received numerous accolades, yet the most impressive one is being Boston’s only Relais Chateaux property, also making her only female in the United States to hold the esteemed title of Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux.
Chef Barbara Lynch opened Menton in 2010 in the heart of the Seaport District and when this neighborhood was really starting to take off. Menton offers many options; they have a tasting menu {well worth the cost} and they also serve dinner a la carte. For those wanting to just test the water, try the Bar Menu or you can even try them for lunch.
Any way you go, you will fall for Chef Lynch’s unique style of food while enjoying a decadent aesthetic experience.

Mistral in the South End
The first time we went to Mistral was for my birthday last year, surprisingly Matt found it and made the reservations {typically I am the foodie in the relationship}! Designed with a seductive atmosphere reminiscent of Provence, this romantic spot in the South End oozes sophistication.
Not only were we impressed with the menu, but the service was impeccable. We highly recommend the Maine Crab Ravioli with Rock Crab, and the Beef Tenderloin was cooked to perfection. If we lived in the South End you would find me at the bar eating dinner here at least 3 nights a week.

Neptune Oyster Bar in the North End
Neptune Oyster Bar has been highly praised for its fresh pristine seafood for over a decade, while still pulling off that cozy neighborhood feel of the middle of Boston’s North End. The oysters and lobster rolls are a fan favorite, however their wine list far exceeds what you would expect from a small restaurant with only 37 seats.
While you can’t make reservations, I suggest you come in for an early dinner, then walk around the North End and experience the exciting energy of the old Italian neighborhood. So many great places to stop in for an evening night cap on the way home as well!

Deuxave in the Back Bay Neighborhood
Named best “French Restaurant” by Forbes Travel Guide in 2017 this elegant restaurant is delivering on romantic ambiance. Chef Christopher Coombs creates incredible seasonal menus, while bringing an American flare by sourcing fresh ingredients from local farmers, and fisherman. The exquisite space is stylized with high ceilings and large windows providing views to Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. Modern lighting adds a glamorous touch and romance to the space. Plan on spending your time here, this is a meal you will want to savor. If you are looking to taste extravagance then Deuxave is your perfect Boston Valentine’s Day location.

Oak Long Bar + Kitchen in the Fairmont Copley Plaza
Oak Long Bar + Kitchen is a gloriously appointed space of grandeur decor that is only fit for a Fairmont Hotel. Situated in the Fairmont Copley Plaza, you can expect high end handcrafted cocktails and a delicious farm-to-table style menu. The vaulted ceilings and 83ft copper toned glass tile top bar, and tall arched windows throughout the space reminds you of the gilded age. Grand opulence and beauty. Back in earlier days {and before the massive renovation} you could find the likes of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and John F. Kennedy in the Oak Long Bar + Kitchen. It’s a beautiful nod to Boston’s history with decadent dishes for a lovely romantic evening!
