Right before the holidays we had the opportunity to spend a few days in Stowe, with Vermont proving yet again how beautiful it can be at any time of year. Stowe had continuously been getting snow before we showed up and the whole town was covered in a fresh blanket of winter white giving it a hallmark movie kind of feeling.
While there Matt wanted to hit the slopes because Stowe is well renown for having incredible trails. I dropped him off (I haven’t quite caught on to skiing yet) and I had the opportunity to drive all over the area and explore at my leisure. This area is full of American goodness with big red barns, stunning New England farmhouses, the cutest little downtown area, and farm-to-table restaurants.
Whats in my bag? Stowe Edition:
While in Stowe we stayed at Field Guide which was reminiscent of a trendy boutique ski chalet. They had a shuffle board table that Matt and I couldn’t wait to play every night to cap our evening off. Picnic Social, the restaurant on site, serves an incredible ramen with lots of other delicious winter comfort foods.
This newly renovated hotel has a modern chic ski lodge vibe with 30 rooms from spacious suites to cottage suites. We stayed in a king suite with a stunning bathroom that included a soaking tub with a view of the snow covered trees.
Field Guide is also in a centralized location, close enough to walk into town, and just a quick drive to the mountain to go skiing. Matt and I enjoyed walking down the adorable Main street and the Country Store is the perfect stop to meander and shop! We also made it to Hen of the Wood in Waterbury. This farm to table restaurant is a hidden gem and the perfect place for an intimate dinner.
If you couldn’t tell by now Field Guide in Stowe has been one of our favorite New England spots and we are counting down the days to see when we can get up there again!
**This trip was in partnership with Lark Hotels. I’m so thankful to Field Guide for welcomingus as their guests. As always, all opinions are my own.

Oh my, what a picture perfect place. We totally miss out on snow where we live in the UK. I’d be as giddy as a school girl to see this much white stuff. It sounds like you had a lovely place to stay too. A ski chalet style hotel would be perfect for the weather. Thanks for linking up with #MondayEscapes!

Lovely photos. I do enjoy a snowly landscape! But it’s articularly important to have somewhere really nice to return to after you’ve been out in that. Good find!

We loved Stowe, VT. The town is so cute that it looks like it belongs in a Christmas movie. The small town charm and amazing scenery is really something to see. We really enjoyed the nearby tasting tours and the Von Trapp Lodge. Check out our top 7 things to do near Stowe, VT. https://theadventuredetour.com/7-fun-things-to-do-near-stowe-vermont/
