Back with another monochromatic look with winter white. My winter white looks are always more of any Ivory- a softer shade of white. This look in particular I paired with this amazing royal blue purse by Rebecca Minkoff. I wanted to bring in a bold contrast to the winter white look with a pop- leopard heels!
For those following along- I received the price to recover my hard drive. A lovely $1500. All I have left are my photos from Alberta and Quebec because I never reformatted the card. Since I just can’t justify paying that for photos I have been in a serious state of depression. All of my photos taken with my canon…gone. This is just like the time Matt crashed my laptop and lost all my video of free diving with bull sharks in Fiji. Talk about distraught!
I just have to start over, be thankful for the photos that made it to the blog, even if my original copies are gone- along with all the photos I never got a chance to edit (like the Hawaiian islands).
I mean $1500 could go to a whole new vacation! Which Is what I’m doing. I head off to Japan towards end of March. My best friend from college asked me to meet her in Paris in April- yup! Count me in! One of my best friends from home then invited me to spend a week with her in an Italian villa in May- where I decided to spend an extra couple days to explore Rome.
There’s always time for new memories, and wiser decisions- i.e. have multiple backups.
I’m looking forward to new places, time with loved ones, and opportunities for new photos! I’m also excited to really start using my new Canon Mark IV!
Who else has lost everything from a computer crash? What did you do to console yourself??

Im sorry to hear about your pictures. This also happened to me about 4 years ago… and ended un paying $900 to recover my photos to which I regretted because they were all recovered in a very low quality (not sure why) so I could even zoom them in and it turned out my husband had saved me best ones already. I guess you live and you learn… Now I save everything immediately on my Google Drive and have lost all the trust to my computer hahah I actually dont have anything save in it haha
Losing photos is one of my nightmares. I’d probably rather travel than spend that amount of money to recover though.

Oh I am so sorry about your photos, that is heartbreaking! My husband has always been very good about reminding me to back everything up so I’ve never lost my photos, but I have friends who have and it is awful.
