It’s no secret that San Diego is one of America’s most beautiful cities; pristine beaches, ideal weather, and numerous neighborhoods full of character and individuality. And the sunsets…well the sunsets are spectacular anywhere throughout the city, but there are 3 spots that are my favorite because they are consistently great! Not only do that have incredible water views, they also have a something else to add to the dramatic background. Enjoy!

Scripps Pier
Located in La Jolla, Scripps pier is a perfect little sunset spot to pack a snack and enjoy the sunset. You can people watch and most likely catch a photo shoot in process. The pier is also next to Scripps Institute of Oceanography that is fun to walk around!
Sunset Cliffs
This place is one of my favorite San Diego spots…every time I have visitors we spend an evening at the cliffs. There are walking trails, and different routes to climb up and down the cliffs to get to the water, and the sunsets never disappoint. Ever.
Harbor Island
Harbor Island provides a perfect view of the skyline while adding some sail boats in the mix. There are a ton of places off Harbor Island to catch this shot, or one similar. I love this point of view because the city glows in this iridescent rose gold color as the sun sets making it a pink skyline! Perfection! Make reservations at Island Prime to grab dinner after you watch the sun go down!
