Bash Bish Falls lies on the border of Massachusetts and New York, with trailheads in both states. I have heard that the trail on the Massachusetts side can be pretty grueling, especially when carrying a heavy backpack full of camera gear, so I opted for the New York trail head. Bash Bish Falls is the highest single drop falls in the state. Which means it is also one of the busiest, so your best bet is to get there right before dawn to take advantage of the golden light and quiet solitude of the forest. On this particular crisp morning the leaves were vibrantly gold, with a carpet of fall foliage covering the ground. It was the last fall image I took in Autumn of 2019, and so bittersweet.
