The Fisher Covered Railroad Bridge is located in Wolcott, Vermont. While it is now closed, it was the last covered bridge to carry railroad traffic in the state. This bridge is also uniquely known due to it’s rare example of a double lattice truss structure. The photo was taken in October 2019, an exceptional year for vivid fall foliage which makes for the perfect backdrop of this antique bridge. To get this shot I actually stood on the roof of my SUV, causing a couple of bemused looks to other visitors.
