Stories + Guides
Sugar Shacks are structures where the sap of a maple tree is boiled and made into maple syrup. These traditional wooden shacks are found throughout New England and Canada. You can find many abandoned sugar shacks on the back roads of Northern New England and they always make for the perfect photograph. In Quebec most sugar shacks are open during the sugaring off season, which is spring.
